Welcome to Franklin Park School District 84! The information contained in this section pertains specifically to students who have either never been enrolled in District 84 or who have left District 84 and are returning. In order to successfully enroll your child to attend one of our four outstanding schools, you will need to complete a two-step process in which you 1) prove that you reside within the boundaries of the school district and 2) fill out and submit the required registration documentation. Both of these steps may be accomplished by visiting the main office of the specific school for which your child is enrolling. Click here to review school attendance areas.
Residency Verification: The person with whom the student resides in the District must submit, along with the Residency Verification Form (see below), at least two of the following proofs of residency. Only original copies will be accepted.
- The most recent real estate tax bill for your residence, mortgage papers, or closing statement for the purchase of your residence.
- Your most recent gas, electric, cable or telephone bill (cell phone bill allowed as a second proof of residency).
- Automobile insurance bill, registration and driver's license (at least 2 of these documents are needed as one proof of residency).
- Home insurance documents.
- Public Aid card/documents.
- A notarized copy of a lease listing the name, address and phone number of the property owner.
Please note: Any application for enrollment in Franklin Park School District 84 who cannot produce the proofs required to verify their residence within the District may, along with the owner or lessee of the property where the applicant lives, complete, sign, and notarize a legal affidavit:
Registration: Once you have proven residency, all that remains to complete the enrollment process is for you to fill out and submit the following registration form and pay any associated fees.
Please note that District 84 will not refuse to enroll a student whose residency has been verified because of that student's failure to present a permanent or temporary record from his/her previous school. However, we will notify the last school or school district and request that a copy of the student's record be forwarded promptly to the District 84 school in which the student is enrolling.

Residency verifications are conducted annually to ensure that the high-quality programming you have become accustomed to in District 84 remains reserved for the benefit of those who reside within our boundaries. Residency verification for returning students for the 2019-2020 school term will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019, and Monday, April 15, 2019. If you have still not registered for the upcoming school term, please contact your school office to set up an appointment with the principal to complete this process.
Once you have proven residency, you will be given a registration packet to take home containing all of the forms necessary to register your child(ren) for the 2019-2020 school year, including an embossed Residency Verification Card which must be returned with your registration paperwork. The registration forms may be completed at your leisure, and the packet, residency verification card, and any school fees for which you are responsible may be hand-delivered by you or your child to your child’s school, or if you prefer, you may simply send them to us via U.S. mail.
Classroom assignments, schedules, and bus information will be mailed over the summer to families who have completed the registration process.
