Chromebook Insurance

District 84 offers families an optional protection plan to insure the district-owned Chromebooks issued to students in grades 3-8. This insurance coverage, provided by Worth Ave. Group covers the following types of damage: 

  • Accidental Damage (Drops and Spills)
  • Liquid Submersion
  • Cracked Screen
  • Power Surge by Lightning
  • Fire, Flood & Natural Disaster          
  • Theft & Vandalism

 

Chromebook insurance, which may be purchased annually at a cost of $26, covers the repair or replacement of your child’s school-issued device. We highly recommend that you purchase insurance. Students whose Chromebooks are uninsured are responsible for all repair or replacement costs, which can range from $85 to $266.

There are two simple ways you can purchase insurance:  

  1. Go to https://gpo.worthavegroup.com/gpo/franklinpark84 and complete the online form with your child’s name and date of birth. Worth accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, PayPal and ECheck. (The online portal opens on August 1, 2023)

  1. Complete the form below and submit it, along with $26, to your child’s school office. If paying by money order, the money order should be made out to Franklin Park School District 84. If paying by cash, please pay the exact amount, as no change will be given.
