Three to Five Year Old Screening

The Leyden Area Special Education Cooperative and District 84 will provide screening for children between the ages of 3-5 to determine if your child qualifies for either the Early Childhood special education program or the Early Connections preschool program.  Both programs are held at Pietrini Elementary School.  For information and to make an appointment, please call Pietrini Elementary School at 847-455-7960.

Birth to Three Year Old Screening

Is your infant or toddler slow in crawling, walking, talking, or developing the appropriate skills for his or her age?  Since children with special needs may need extra help to reach their potential, the birth to three screenings focus on providing early identification of children in need of services and will provide parents with a resource guide of excellent programs within the community.  While all children are different, a significant developmental difference from children the same age may indicate the need for early intervention.  For further information, please call 1-888-KONTACT or 1-888-566-8228.  The "KONTACT" operators know how to help you and your child.
